Magazine Printing

Magazine printing.
Saddle-stitched.
Full-color, short run.

Magazines print on the same saddle-stitch line as our booklets - folded, stapled, and trimmed on the Xerox PrimeLink C9265. Upload your PDF, pick your stock, and see your exact price before you pay. Runs from one copy to a few hundred.

Wizard starts with the 8.5 × 11 preset preselected (saddle-stitched, optional SquareFold).

Choose a preset

Both presets are saddle-stitched. Heavy cover stock gives the book rigidity; SquareFold rounds the spine for a flat-laying book.

Paper stocks we stock for magazines

Every stock below is on our live catalogue and was priced through the production engine. The page ceiling is the physical fold limit for that stock weight - a thicker magazine needs a lighter sheet.

Interior stock

Available page counts depend on the finished size, paper and finishing options you choose. The figures above are the per-stock reference for that size and stock; adding a heavier paper or extra finishing can reduce the maximum, and we confirm the page count for your exact configuration before the job runs.

Finishing options

Saddle-stitch is the binding. These are the finishing passes that ride along with it.

SquareFold

Rounds the spine for a flat-laying magazine that opens like a printed book. Availability depends on the paper and finishing options you choose.

Face trim

Trims the fore-edge so the magazine closes flush. On by default; can be turned off in the wizard.

Full bleed

Lets artwork run past the trim edge and get cut clean. Availability depends on the paper and finishing options you choose.

Full color or black & white

Choose the interior color mode in the wizard. The cover can match the interior or run as a separate cover.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers about the production path.

What size magazine do I get?

Two trims: 8.5 x 11 inches, printed 2-up on 11 x 17 tabloid stock, or 5.5 x 8.5 inches on letter stock. The 8.5 x 11 size is the one most magazines use.

How many pages can a magazine have?

It depends on the stock and the size. Available page counts depend on the size, paper and finishing options you choose. Heavier paper and extra finishing reduce the maximum page count for a given size. We confirm the page count for your exact configuration before you order. The wizard will tell you if a stock is too thick for your page count.

Do I get a price before I order?

Yes. The wizard prices your configuration live against the same production engine our print line uses, so the number you see is the number the order is placed at.

Can I print a heavy cover on a magazine?

Yes. A separate cover in 80 lb, 100 lb gloss, or 110 lb cardstock is available on both sizes.

How long does a magazine take to print?

The standard production time on this preset is 5 days, with a 3-day rush option. Available production options are shown during ordering.
